Independence and freedom of speech will continue to be punished, resulting in poor and propaganda-like art. We are currently locked in this cycle. If we don't break free the only thing left of this industry will be the slotkin letter asking why there arent printed show programs.

If the arts sector, esp heavily private/public funding dependant industries like theatre, does not invest in genuinely good woek, good audience experiences and community building— it will always suffer at the whims of those with power.
