Having shitty mental health but a naturally bubbly and outgoing personality is one of the most confusing experiences - like you're constantly smiling and cracking jokes on the outside while inside you're fighting a never-ending battle of anxiety, sadness, and doubt. It's exhausting pretending everything's fine when your mind feels like a storm nobody sees, and sometimes you don't even understand it yourself.

Dearest Gertrude,

Times are brutal as this sickening war has taken a toll on us. We’ve taken up shelter behind Wrigley building. Rations are limited to weird hot dogs with vegetables on top. I learned ketchup doesn’t belong on hot dogs. Sadly, Cubs lost to Brewers & morale is low.
