I do find it hilarious how they immediately backtracked after this and deleted the comment

a member of bluesky saying "Yeh" in response to the above post, with a journalist responding asking to get their exact quote over the thread in which the bluesky member responds with "what" and the journalist then rephrasing the question only for the bluesky member to delete the entire thread

two things you have to keep in mind when making content online:

a.) if something is "trending", there's already a flood of people talking about it. you are late and if it's not your area of expertise already, you're too far behind

2.) people make money from selling you lists of trending topics

i keep seeing youtubers who used to talk about weird fun niche topics they were passionate about switch to only ever talking about the latest news, discourse, and trends and then be like "why isn't anyone watching my videos anymore? this must be YouTube's fault." no dude! your heart's not in it
