This is what makes Reed Richards such a fascinating character to me. His intelligence doesn’t mean he’s incapable of empathy. His intelligence makes him hyper-empathetic. He’s so aware of the scale of the world that it causes him to care so much about the forest and struggle to consider the trees

I loved them leaning into the fact that that causes conflict but not going too far into "Yeah Reed is just incapable of empathy cuz he's so smart" territory. It tears him up inside that he considered it. It sucks that he did, but it's still a low blow from Sue and they both know it

Was such a crowded weekend, forgot to mention that PHOENIX was a riff on this past Batgirl Supergirl piece (for "crabby").

Watercolor drawing: Supergirl sure is grouchy today! Might have something to do with that Red Lantern ring on her finger. Batgirl doesn't seem too happy about the current situation either, as noted by her exasperating dialog saying, "Oh, not AGAIN."
