Parking garage collapses are also caused by poor design and shitty construction. I like street parking personally but I used to work at a structural engineering company so I have strong and possibly stupid opinions.

various solutions exist if the problem is identified early, including structural super glue, which is a thing, or was in the 80s. Otherwise it will collapse and hopefully not while you are in it. This note brought to you by the partial collapse of a parking structure in White Plains.

parking garage collapses are most likely to occur in places that salt roads in winter. The slush and drip while parked causes salt water to leach through the concrete and asphalt, eating the rebar, and then when the rebar is as strong as a butterfly sneeze, oopsy.

Of all the things our parents left us with, not having to arrange funerals were among the greatest gifts.

Oh, and I just put the super fluffy hooked rug with the radioactivity symbol in the downstairs bathroom to keep brO's feet warm on the cold tile floor. The clean towels were cousin's doing tho.

in 1968 I rode my bike to where they were constructing the new swimming pool next to the rec centre with two other kids & we crawled through the tunnels created by the formwork to make the walkways around the pool. It was dark & full of cobwebs & rebar & DANGEROUS AS SHIT. I collected many bruises.
