Andy Davidson's IN THE VALLEY OF THE SUN bled new life into a time worn trope, bringing a fresh spurt of blood into the vampire mythos by embracing everything about the bloodsuckers that scare the hell out of us.

One of the best damn vampires novels I've ever read.

Fizzgig, from the movie The Dark Crystal, is a round orange ball of fluff about the size of a basketball with two small, close-set yellow eyes. His mouth is open to about half the size of his head (which is also his body). Behind the first row of many sharp teeth is a second row of teeth far back in his throat.
