I’ve seen criticism of No Kings not being “real” protests because they aren’t designed to be openly confrontational with law enforcement, which is a misunderstanding of how many different types of protest actions there are and the varied purposes they can serve.

People need to stop splitting.

TikTok currently has a ton of videos claiming Taylor Swift is selling a necklace with Nazi imagery because it has lightning bolts in the chain when 1. It is very clearly referencing the chorus of the song Opalite and 2. The SS lightning bolts were not shaped like that.

As soon as COVID or burrito taxi or trans discourses (etc.) come up again I'm reminded why I cannot fucking stand the only political factions I could possibly be in a coalition with.
