i still cant believe that in the year 2025 youtubers still do that thing where they mispronounce a word from another language several times before going "haha wow that sure was weird to say and probably wrong lol" it's a recorded video!! you can literally just look up how to say words in 2 seconds.

one time i said i didn't like the wendys twitter and got called classist for hating retail employees
this shit works. it makes people like Brands. gets under their skin and in to their minds. when i said i didnt like the wendys twitter i personally offended people that viewed wendys as a friend, that viewed the wendys social media manager as a friendly individual that they respected.
the wendys social media manager is not your friend. they don't even really exist. there's no one person that writes the tweets for wendys. there's a team of 20 something year olds that casually observe the latest meme trends and crank out mspaint memes because they know they'll get retweeted if the memes are relevant.
they trick you in to thinking that Wendys is a hip friendly young person, and they manipulate you in to thinking that disliking marketing is somehow a "problematic" "un-woke" thing to do.
and it works.
install ublock origin. on mobile, block every promoted tweet you see. don't let them convince you that this shit is normal.

Every time I try to watch one of those American queerwave cartoons I'm left asking questions like, is that animation going at... 5 frames per second? 10 maybe? Why does everything lack detail? Why are the backgrounds so bad? Why is there no lighting or shadow? Why does it look like THAT?

One of the things I hear with some younger trans people I know is they feel, "I'm gonna get this surgery, and I'm gonna learn that way of speaking, and I'm gonna be done." You're never done. If you're a straight, cisgender person, you're never done. Things are always happening that have the potential to change you. So all I am today is not who I'm gonna be tomorrow, because of the things that happened to me today and later tonight. People forget that. "Oh, after I transition, I'm gonna be through." Well, good luck with that. 'Cause if you're through, then it's time to leave, you know, and I don't wanna go anywhere yet.
I'm in my seventies. Why didn't I stop? Number one is community. My gurls. I've had moments of thinking about stopping, but I didn't. I made sure I would step back, reju- venate myself, and then got back out there, and that's how you make a way. Our stories are not all the same, but the destination is: to get some place where we have some peace and harmony, and we can be at ease with ourselves and the people around us. You make the best of it all and hope you can help make it a little better for the gurl after you.
