This person is one hundred percent correct and it’s scary af. We will never “media literacy” our way out of this as a society. We are about to reap the whirlwind when it comes to misinformation, disinformation, and informational warfare.

This absolutely is Jeff Bezos’s fault. I feel sorry for the excellent journalists and other staff caught up in his mismanagement, but this is his doing. And it will only lead to the Post doing even worse, which will then — almost inevitably — lead to more layoffs.
Some news: The Washington Post is preparing to cut newsroom staff even after several high profile exits. Bezos’ new opinion editor has privately told people The Post is in “severe financial distress.” Details in @status.news www.status.news/p/washington...
Pain at The Post

Mike hasn’t clocked into work in 3-plus weeks, and hasn’t spent a full week at the office since July.

“Been a little busy”: with what? Keeping cucumbers over his eyes so he can pretend not to see anything?

But my betters at the Washington Post and elsewhere in media told me the public craves unbiased news (defined as more Trump-friendly and less tethered to facts) and customers cancelled subscriptions only because they demand partisan advocacy.

I guess trashing the brand wasn’t a business success.

I for one think the Epstein Ballroom will be magnificent. I love the decor theme of “what if Uday Hussein ran a Ramada Inn.” And giving it a theme song everyone will associate with it is a stroke of brilliance! “Thank Heaven for Little Girls” is very catchy.

I feel like people missed this. On the $230 million shakedown, when Trump said, "I'm the one that makes the decision," he accidentally confirmed that he is appropriating for himself the power to order Todd Blanche to approve it:

On day 22 of the Trump Shutdown, Senate Republicans are holding show votes, the House GOP won’t show up for work and Trump wants to see shows in his new ballroom.

In 10 days, more than 24 million working Americans will see their healthcare costs double and GOP leadership is living in la la land.
Government Shutdown: Funding Bill Blocked For 12th Time
The government shutdown began at midnight on Oct. 1 as Democrats and Republicans appeared to be nowhere close to reaching a funding deal.

Not to diminish law review articles & law school committee work, but right now law professors should be working collectively on an intellectual & service project of immense, existential importance: building consensus around a revolutionary constitutional framework-of a Reconstruction 2.0 magnitude.

There are a few people on there who haven't been noticeably brain-poisoned, but they're the ones who are in literally incessant conflict with the people around them and the leadership of the site itself. But our journalist/pundit class has no interest in that. They want that cozy hangout feeling.
I hope I don’t get Epstein-Ballroom virus
