The fact they tell us they have a 20bln black hole and we all know they have a 40bln gap in revenue recovery, then they expect us to listen to how we will be charged extra tax or have benefits reduced to close the black hole. The hypocrisy knows no bounds.

What Farage means (but never admits and is rarely asked about) is that a race to the bottom has been squandered. Brexit as the route to promoting profiteering for his moneyed mates while binning protections and rocket-boosting exploitation (aka “deregulation”) for the rest of us.

I really want my tax dollars to go towards feeding people and not disappearing people.

Given that the extremists want to parents to decide what books their kids read or lessons they learn, I’d like the same power to decide how my tax dollars are used.

Nigel Farage says he wants to 'raise aspiration' by cutting the minimum wage for young people (currently £10), but reducing tax for young people earning over £100k. Presumably he wants them to just ask their stockbroker fathers to fix them up with a job in The City, like he did.

There's a difference between populism and being popular. Populist policies seek to divide us. Popular policies unite us. Recognising the truth of climate change, the threat from oligarchs and social injustice is popular, not populist. Recognising that Brexit is a disaster is popular, not populist.
