Throughout the pandemic, many governments in Canada have used #CMOHs to rubber stamp political decisions that governments could then frame as "following the science".
Yep. Public health is about politics, not health or evidence-based medicine.

“Sick and elderly Canadians who have refused to end their lives via MAiD have reported being called selfish by their providers”

This is happening in Canada

Since we're on the topic of stolen museum artifacts, your reminder that much of what is in museums in colonizer states, such as France, was stolen from Indigenous communities over several hundred years, and museums have no plans on ever returning them.

Also, despite best efforts and the best precautions, people can still get unlucky and get infected.

I’d rather be safe than sorry.
I *always* wear an n95 respirator around other people, indoors and outdoors, regardless of whether they’re taking the same precautions as me or not.

I don’t trust people enough when they tell me they’re taking Covid precautions, and a person can be exposed at any time.

Since visibility on this is a really big challenge I just wanna say that I still mask in public spaces. I wear a mask when around anyone who doesn’t practice similar precautions. If you do too, you are not alone and I appreciate you so much. If you don’t, you can *always* start again.

By contrast the House of Commons is doing very well, thank you very much!

"In a hospital ward, transmission of airborne pathogens can occur in any area where people breathe the same air. These areas include patient rooms and specialised treatment rooms, as well as corridors and common areas."
Who robbed the Louvre?
Right answers only.
So glad we don’t have to deal with these where I live
Agree 💯%. It’s no excuse not to protect patients’ health when it’s a requirement of your profession.

Swedish Scientist Judith Bruchfeld has made a statement saying that any COVID infection can lead to between 9-12 months of immune dysregulation. This opens everyone up to both ‘bacterial and fungal infections’. I’m afraid I only have a link to x here for this but see research below. 🧵
An excellent read on the trauma that healthcare workers experienced.

Perhaps explains why most refuse to mask for patients now?

Stuff like this should be remembered. Lots of people, especially healthcare workers, telling this 14yr old how bad early covid actually was.

Just learned that @sabivm.bsky.social does not consistently mask in public settings.

Very disappointing.

I won’t be promoting their content anymore.

Public health is largely to blame for people mistakenly believing Covid is over, by restricting testing and under reporting.

LESS THAN ONE PERCENT of Covid infections are reported in Canada.
