With the advent of AI slop burying short story markets and agency submissions, I wonder if we aren’t going to end up turning full circle and going back to paper submissions to build in cost friction and weed out slop.

You can add udm=14 to your Google search URL to exclude Google AI results. Some people also report using the -AI modifier can also work.

I've done the udm=14 for both my phone & laptop, and it's helped making Google more usable.
