Game dev etc… I was feeling good about my progress with Unity and Ink until I ran into the very last step of this tutorial… it’s six years old. That version of Unity doesn’t have TextmeshPro. I tried a few work around but it’s just spawning a clone TMP called “button” instead of the choices. :/

Basically I’ve learned the bits I can do in Unity itself without creating scripts. But I know that to get the Ink file to do the thing in this game, I’ll need to code in C#.

Game dev update: behold, my ugly test piece in Unity! I am so working with Ren’Py but I thought it would be fun to make a very small scale game in Unity. Maybe have it ready in time for Christmas. I’m going to see if those Ink to Unity integration tutorials make sense now.

If you've never been to Gaza, you won't appreciate what the yellow line means. Basically Israel now holds most of Gaza's small but important agricultural land. Continued Israeli occupation, which I judge the likely outcome, makes Gaza even more unliveable and more dependent on outside goods.
