Minneapolis- not burning but kind of radiant
A skyline shot of downtown Minneapolis, looking up and south east.

The sky is dark and misty. Capella tower is surrounded by a halo of purple and pink lights, and Wells Fargo tower has a huge yellow glow, both mingling in the mist.

The glow in the sky is framed by strikingly dark towers and buildings that have their own rectangular windows piercing the dark.
Haunted hotspots of Minneapolis. Spooky!

Favorite. Night. Of. The. Year.
The start of the pumpkins at the Pumpkin Spectacular at the Minnesota Zoo. Carved fake pumpkins hand from trees around a paved path lit by colored lights. Further on the path toward the pumpkins. A blurry child is in the foreground. A collection of hundreds of fake carved pumpkins arranged off the side of the path. Multiple different colors light up the silly/spooky faces. Another pumpkin display with a posed scarecrow pumpkin “behind bars.”

My boss: so how's our fourth quarter looking?

Me, the sales manager at the company that makes inflatable frog suits: well, you're never going to believe this, but
I guess Gunn has said that Foxy Shazam is “objectively the best band in America.” Ha!
I read it. I did not enjoy it. I am male.

Last time there was a No Kings protest in Minnesota the speaker-emerita, her husband and dog were murdered, a state senator and his wife were shot, the gunman was at large and 25,000 people still showed up. All you fascists are bound to lose.
they are clearly trying to terrify everyone out of showing up to the No Kings protest and I simply do not think it is going to work

see you all there
Sen. Roger Marshall: "October 18 is when the protest gets here. This will be a Soros paid-for protest for his professional protesters. The agitators show up. We'll have to get the National Guard out. Hopefully it will be peaceful. I doubt it."

Fact: Mikhail Gorbachev visited the Twin Cities June 3-4, 1990 and on Oct. 15, 1990 he won the Nobel Peace Prize.
Don't get me started on the Twin Cities connections of Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Kofi Annan.
Fact: Jimmy Carter spoke at the University of Minnesota on May 17, 2001 during the dedication of Mondale Hall. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in October 2002.
Sounds like causation to me.

#OnThisDay Oct 9, 1949: The Leif Erikson statue is dedicated on the grounds of the Minnesota State Capitol on "Leif Erikson Day." The monument was part of a Scandinavian American campaign to credit their ancestors - and definitely not Christopher Columbus - with the “discovery” of North America.
A 13' high bronze statue of a viking holding a sword stands atop a tall marble plinth. The white dome of the Minnesota State Capitol is in the background.
Did you meet him on a hike?
