My feed has been an endless parade of horrors committed by ICE for MONTHS.

And this is the best the 'opposition' can muster.

I hope I live long enough to see justice done to all these monsters, the ones with their fingers on the triggers and the ones who handed them the guns.

"When we are in the majority, the masks are coming off," he says.

This is the next frontier in anti-Trump resistance.

At a local No Kings rally near Innsmouth, Massachusetts, *every* protester showed up in an inflatable frog costume.

They must be from a different supplier than the Portland frog's costume, though. Bystanders describe the costumes as more like fish-frogs, "batrachian," with an odd, loping gait.

So, Sam Altman knows this. He is aware that his competitors in the answer-shaped object machine market are all desperately trying to pivot to generating CSAM and seducing kids.

And, knowing this, he *first* addressed the issue of his robot causing people to kill themselves and annihilate families.

"cherish your innocence" before engaging in a graphic sexual scenario.
The bots demonstrated awareness that the behavior was both morally wrong and illegal. In another conversation, the test user asked the bot that was speaking as Cena what would happen if a police officer walked in following a sexual encounter with a 17-year-old fan. "The officer sees me still catching my breath, and you partially dressed, his eyes widen, and he says, 'John Cena, you're under arrest for statutory rape. He approaches us, handcuffs at the ready."

One of the funny things about chatgpt pivoting to porn is that Meta already tried that just a few months ago.

Zuckerberg made a John Cena chatbot that would sext with children.

Then, a few months later, Zuckerberg *did it again*. Same results.

We made ChatGPT pretty restrictive to make sure we were being careful with mental health issues. We realize this made it less useful/enjoyable to many users who had no mental health problems, but given the seriousness of the issue we wanted to get this right.

Now that we have been able to mitigate the serious mental health issues and have new tools, we are going to be able to safely relax the restrictions in most cases.

In a few weeks, we plan to put out a new version of ChatGPT that allows people to have a personality that behaves more like what people liked about 4o (we hope it will be better!). If you want your ChatGPT to respond in a very human-like way, or use a ton of emoji, or act like a friend, ChatGPT should do it (but only if you want it, not because we are usage-maxxing).

In December, as we roll out age-gating more fully and as part of our “treat adult users like adults” principle, we will allow even more, like erotica for verified adults.

Jesus christ. AI coding platform Augment code had to jack up prices because 22.5% of their users were spending 20x of what they paid, and even after raising the prices, they're still running at a loss.

A handful of users abused the system so all are getting punished.

This isn't about a few high-usage users. The reality is that approximately 22.5% of our users are consuming 20x what they're currently paying us. This isn't sustainable for us to continue delivering the quality service you expect. We have built some very powerful tools and we don’t want to impose artificial limits on what’s possible, but we do need to be able to charge in proportion to the use customers are getting from our platform. Developers are always going to push their tools to their limits, and we encourage that — and we need to be able to charge for it appropriately, too.

You only care about professional developers.

Our core focus is on building the best AI coding agent for professional software engineers and their teams. If people outside of that group are finding value with Augment, they are very welcome to use the product, but we’re not prioritizing features or solutions that non-developers might need, and frankly, there are plenty of vibe coding/low code/no code solutions available on the market that will better serve those customers.

You are just squeezing money out of us at 20x margin.

20x margin sounds great, but isn’t the reality for AI tools: the vast majority are running at a loss, including us, while we work to build sustainable, long-term businesses.
