Manifesting sales for October.
My books are an epic fantasy reimagining of Sleeping Beauty. What if Maleficent was Aurora's mother and what if she wasn't really evil?
The latest is Queen of Thorns.

www.amazon.com/dp/B08HLVPF7D
Book cover for Queen of Thorns by Joel C. Flanagan-Grannemann.
Across the top is a banner announcing "Book Five of Servants of the Moon and Sun" in a clean silvery white font.
Against a deep red background with ominous dark thorny trees and fog, an armored knight dressed all in black and wearing a silver helm and breastplate rides a black horse, which is also armored at the head and body. The knight holds a crossbow loaded with a bright silver bolt in his right hand. The book's title is placed under the mounted knight in large silver letters in a fantasy font with thorn serifs. The author's name is centered below that over two lines in a smaller clean silvery white font.

A cartoon raccoon looks out from behind the cover and pink Raccoon footprints circle the cover.

Some sketches of Raven from future scenes in Chronicles of Death... which I swear I'm working on. The landscape of my life has shifted a great deal this last year.

#FantasyIndiesSpooktober 13: Spooky Shelfie

How about a little Plague? This miniature from a board game looks plenty creepy! (One of the Four Horsemen from a game. I painted this one.)
#miniaturepainting #TTRPG
White text on spooky gray background bordered by ghosts, blood, and ghouls; text offers a list of daily writing prompts for authors of fantasy fiction. Painted miniature of Plague from the Four Horsemen for Massive Darkness II board game. A crowned figure wearing a plague mask astride a white horse. The creepy spectre holds a bow and has a quiver of arrows… probably to shoot deadly disease at the heroes.

I feel like Robyn in A Dance of Bow & Blade would use social media to troll the sheriff, share things like her friends' stuff, Allie's music & Franka's tavern, & other people's mutual aid funds. I could also see her pebbling the other outlaws or tagging them in posts they'd like.

Tell me more about your #AwesomeCharacters

For the sake of this hypothetical, your characters have social media in their world.

Do they use it? What kind of things are they posting about? Pictures, video, or text? What do they have as a profile pic?

I didn't get to do a post earlier, but you can grab a discounted ebook copy of Mist Gallows from my Ko-fi shop for just 99p! ko-fi.com/s/7dc41ca4a8
Trope card for Mist Gallows by Meri Benson and Marie Sinadjan. Listed: Ragnarok, the end, the war of the worlds; prophecies, fate, destiny, choices, secrets and schemes; trilogy finale; lots of new worlds and new characters; whose side are you on? Blurb of Mist Gallows by Meri Benson and Marie Sinadjan

Are you ready for the battle of a lifetime?

The end has begun. Ragnarok has arrived as prophesied. The Great Winter has brought Midgard to its knees, and it’s only a matter of time before the gods and their armies clash on Vigrid one last time.

Desperate to save the realms, Victor leads his friends on a mission to the underworld. He intends to seek out Hel, daughter of Loki and Hodr’s lover, and convince their side to stand down and make peace with Odin, therefore averting the war.

But a far greater threat than the reckoning of an ancient feud looms on the horizon. Silje learns that Yggdrasil is dying, and if the Tree of Worlds dies, the worlds die along with it…

#WeeknightWriters #FirstDraftFall Will your story include any POV characters other than your main character?

I've actually been struggling with this as I outline. It's a MG series, so one POV is standard, and with reason. But I really want to get into the other two main characters' heads! Ack!

Answering for Day 12:
Of our 5 antagonists, only 2 have had speaking roles in Far Removed. We get to learn a lot more about all of them in the sequel. One villain is vain and paranoid. Another may harbour a noble streak. Prismer notices the nuances more than Oklas does.

Hi new followers! I'm K, a fantasy writer with a love of dragons and history.

My current WIP is a epic fantasy series that's basically HOUSE OF THE DRAGON meets the family dynamics of ARCANE. It's also open for beta readers! The awesome art of my two girls is by @dudkaart.bsky.social
Art of Wanda and Audra from DRAGON'S LIBERTY with text from top clockwise: "house of the dragon but make it 17th-18th century poland-lithuania" "an uneventful masquerade ball" "'you don't annoy me. i like you." "epic fantasy" "forbidden love" "death might as well be a main character" "there's no way this wholesome sibling-like relationship can go bad, right?" "so much yearning" "dragons!" "have you considered not having anxiety?" "oops! all international politics" "a royal family that desperately needs therapy"
