I was in my early 20’s, not being listened to/really not having a great time in my studio (also very junior and the only woman on creative). BUT: plenty of opportunities to try steering clients away from plagiarism with my illustration/design hat on since then!

That’s pretty rubbish of them. I get why this attitude crops up (and is often successful in fast-paced production studios), but: holy crap it was soul sucking to be immersed in.

Urg. So, the crisis that led me to leaving my animation job, and never looking for another one (or really animating again), was my producer telling me to rip off someone’s work. A few days later we all agreed it best if I left.

Point being: the similarities are definitely not an accident.

I occasionally sit and imagine conversations with a couple of my divergent versions.

Solicitor me is so very, very bitter and constantly talks about how much they hate their life. But has such a very nice house to sulk in.
