this is the kind of statement highlighting why i criticize dems and say they need to adopt modern comms. this comment should be repeated on the social media for every congressional dem and denounced in press releases from them all. its not even ideological. blue dogs and super lefties can agree.
this is a prime opportunity for democrats to explicitly tell their voters "they say you're a terrorist, but youre just a patriotic american who is trying to get by in this world."
Leavitt: "The Democrat Party's main constituency is made up of Hamas terrorists, illegal aliens, and violent criminals."

This entire article is, unsurprisingly, kicked off by Brett Kavanaugh and includes this: "A spokesperson for Kavanaugh did not return an emailed request for comment."

McConnell is so senile he had to step down from party leadership but is allowed to remain a US senator for some reason

the powers that be want you to know less about your computer. they are taking away your beautiful file pathing, keyboard inputs, considered mouse clicks, and expertise of your OS. everything will soon be done by mumbling into the open air and praying it works correctly. this is a nightmare.
This is the future of Windows. Microsoft wants to rewrite Windows to turn computers into AI PCs that you talk to. It's now bringing AI features to all Windows 11 PCs today, in a bid to convince you to talk to your PC and let AI control it. Full details 👇 www.theverge.com/news/799768/...

I share Mr. Homan’s fear of violence. But he is wrong on the source. It’s not political rhetoric; it’s this admin’s radical shift away from basic law enforcement principles and towards an aggressive “mass deportation” agenda focused more on creating content than on public safety.
Homan: "If the hateful rhetoric continues, there will be bloodshed. People are going to die ... there is going to be more bloodshed unless this hateful rhetoric stops."

If you want nonviolence to work, it has to include a threat
we should all go out on October 18 and it's good that so many of us are planning to. but we should all start talking to each other about what we're going to do next, too - what we will withhold together if the abuses continue. we can go on offense, too!

Why Protests Should Be Promises

NEW: The government does not track how often immigration agents grab citizens. So ProPublica did.

We found more than 170 such incidents since the start of the second Trump administration. Our tally — almost certainly incomplete — includes nearly 20 children, two of whom have cancer.

people gotta treat this behavior the same as we treat shitting on the floor
Frankly, a good baseline for any Dem seeking power

(Please don't be Fetterman 2)
- refers to himself as a communist
- says all cops are bastards
- says rural white people are racist

these are from 5 years ago, when he was 35, not the musings of an angsty teen.

other than that it’s fine.
this doesn’t seem great!

If you were “prematurely anti fascist” about this you were a hysterical lib, if you were wrong about it you’re a respectable intellectual with lots of billionaire connections bsky.app/profile/gtco...

I’m not relevant enough to be doxxed like this but yeah this is why I finally deactivated my Twitter account after 15 years.

It’s not only a cesspool filled with the worst people alive, but it’s genuinely a danger to your safety at this point — Musk is 100% collaborating with the government.
important note from libcrusher:
Reactivating temporarily to send a warning.
Since I got doxxed, it appears the same doxxing ring has targeted several other users. I learned that they were banned this week, only for Elon to, apparently, personally unban them. I feel obliged to warn everyone about my experience.

It wasn't just my personal information that got published. Someone, somewhere, got my passwords too. For my banking accounts, brokerage accounts, venmo, etc.
Most of which had different and unique passwords. All these attempts started the day i got doxxed, and have sporadically continued since. If you know anyone who's been doxxed by this group, you need to have them change all their passwords on every website immediately. Ensure 2FA and any other security measures are in place everywhere.
And, wherever possible, document and report it. Frankly, if you're a lefty of any note, do it now too

If anyone was also a victim of this or knows someone who was, there are ways to reach me. I wish I could go into more details right now. But until that time comes, protect yourself.

I will be deactivating in 20 minutes.
Hopefully, that's enough time for the warning to get out.

A terrific AFP fact check uses reverse image searches to expose how a White House video took scenes from Florida, Texas, South Carolina and Nebraska and lied that they showed "Chicago is in chaos."

Post from WH about Chicago "in chaos," showing scene from another state.
To add: it's possible to have words with Rs about how the GOP govt is blocking Medicaid continuation/$500million of food for hungry people (big number, no reason)

I work in healthcare with many 50/60yo ladies who can see through it if you use plain language!
many conversations I have had with complete normie libs, the kind who have a tote bag from donating to NPR and shop at Whole Foods, involve the kind of rhetoric that under no circumstances should be put on the internet

people are very mad
look i was recently talking to a septuagenarian life long dem (who shall remain nameless) and generic lib, and she was like “i just think there should be firing squads and they should sell tickets.”

cnn dug up graham platner's old reddit posts and unfortunately a lot of them seem to confirm that....he's pretty cool www.cnn.com/2025/10/16/p...
In another post in 2010, Platner took aim at musician Ted Nugent, a conservative activist.
“As a combat veteran, that m*therf**ker makes me want to puke when he spews his warmongering macho bullshit. Suck a d*ck, Ted.”
“To be fair,” Platner told CNN. “I’m not really regretful of that one.”
