for some reason, it never occurred to me that i at 5'3 would actually look small to someone say, 6'3 - 6'6. this is actually absurd.

An important aspect of advocating for yourself in medical spaces is having the script to do so. Knowing what to say and where to go next. Including having intimate knowledge of your health insurance or options if you are under/uninsured.

I think the most. . . boiled down thought I've ever had about death came to me at 8 yrs old when I found out my cousin died.

At 8, all I could think was "I thought I would see her again."

And, I realize. . . that's really the whole thing.
