I have been noticing the language used to refer to people by the far right, for refugees and asylum seekers it is very dehumanising.

"invaders"
"fighting age men"
"illegals"

But, yet again this morning I've seem Lucy Connelly referred as a jailed "Mum".

I was on duty in A/E during a so-called riot by Miners during the Strike.

The rioters were the Police.
They smashed shops, homes and cracked many heads and did put people in hospital.

The BBC reported Police were attacked and injured.
One Copper sprained his ankle when he fell out of a van.🙄

Maybe if the Police weren't so violent, people wouldn't feel the need to defend themselves.

Have you ever been on a protest that was heavily policed, or experienced unprovoked Police violence?

As for the Policewomn who was taken to hospital, she was discharged pretty quickly.

The BBC reversed the footage to pretend that the miners attacked the police rather than the other way around and that remains the agreed media narrative. It was government propaganda and has undermined fatally any idea that the BBC news is politically neutral and trustworthy.

I used to work in education supporting people who were unemployed find work. Part of that was assessing their literacy and numeracy levels. The average result was the equivalent to age 8-10 (the reading age of The Daily Mail).

German news: Sick leave measured by public health insurances remains on an above-normal level. Top of the list: respiratory illnesses & mental health. Frankly, I blame politics. Lack of Covid/RSV precautions & constant fanning of fear & anger to generate attention & votes is making us ill.
