I've been fortunate to meet and interview several people who were active in the 1960s Civil Rights Movement over the years, including some leaders

they all speak about disagreement on tactics, all the time. My high school US history education was pretty bad, and that surprised me for a long time

Okay, the doctors decided that given everything that's going on my mother again needs more rounds of chemo. We're not done yet. I'm still in the dark as to all that is going on, but regardless this Friday I'm taking her down to Harrisonburg for treatment.

I had a very short conversation with my mother and she had awful news to share. She has developed malignant tumors on her bladder and will need to undergo surgery. Thankfully, she has good medical coverage and has already found a surgeon in her network. I'll post updates once I know more.

There have been scuffles around the margins, but congressional control over revenue and spending is one of the things that's remained nearly untouched in the history of the republic, it's the hot molten core of the Anglo-American constitutional tradition, and he has already completely abolished it.
