Okay, so I’m not published yet or anything, but I literally dream of fan art being made for my books. I see all of the incredible art made for people’s favorite books and it’s one of my goals as an author—to have someone love my books enough to create art from them.

The two types of writers:

- I have created a cast of multilayered characters, and a deep, rich and storied setting. I have no idea what to do with any of it.

- I have created a weaving narrative of twists and turns, betrayals and intrigue. Each character can be summarised in one word.

As I get further into my book in plotting and rewriting, I find myself more nervous for the day I write the final words and send it off to my Alpha for her opinion 🫣 I know it’s not my first draft or even really my second, but I’m still scared that it’s gonna be a mess to an unbiased reader…

We've got to stop writing stories about defeating villains without also examining the systems that create them.

Villains aren't reacting to nothing, and they aren't upset at a world that works.

Been working on my book a lot recently, plowing through the rewrite and got to a part where I crossed out half the chapter and put a sticky note over it that said “enter rewrite here.”

I'm rarely able to call anything I've created good. I'm a perfectionist. But I'm actually really proud of Reborn in Ash. Is it perfect? No. Few books are. But I get chills when I read it. I only hope I can draw readers' attention to it so I can emotionally devastate them too. ❤️

SO LET THEM BURN and THIS ENDS IN EMBERS (yes, both!) have earned out.

SO LET THEM BURN, my debut novel, came out a year ago. THIS ENDS IN EMBERS completed the duology in February. And now every time someone buys a copy in any format, I earn royalties.
