Film, TV & a good book is a good escape from the madness of the world. I was an Arsenal supporter before it was cool to be one. I lie it's always been cool to be a Gooner

I need to know what Bob Hoskins said to Princess Diana in front of Roger Rabbit at the London premiere of WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT (1988).
Bob Hoskins meets Princess Diana as a full size Roger Rabbit costumed character stands next to them.

No matter how many times I've watched the same clip it never fails to make me laugh. Even when I know what's about to be said. I love that people have created compilation videos so you do have to keep changing

I'm still gutted to be missing out on Only Connect but this goes a long way to placate me

FFS no #OnlyConnect on tonight and I was looking forward to my normal Monday night quizzing. Oh well I'll have to settle for 1999's The Mummy instead which is the best film ever

If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.
Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?
2? Questions
I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

That sounds like the LG washer Dryer I'm looking at. I didn't want a steam function before but now when I look at ones without it I mark it as a con
randomronil.bsky.social
Yeah I watched a few YouTube vids and they say it's mainly weighing the load and varying the time to wash/dry accordingly

Finding out that Jared Leto kept doing his method acting shit and insisted on staying in character on the set of Tron Ares and would only answer to the name of Ares is so funny, like making a big ass douche of yourself for the third Tron movie where you play “computer program that gains feelings”
