Needing multiple streams of income to stay afloat is a societal failure not a personal one. You should be able to afford a comfortable lifestyle with one job. You are not lazy.

I have such complicated feelings about the midterm. I’m not one to admit defeat prematurely, but they’re also more than a year away with even longer than that before new members are sworn in. Even if we get what we want it might be too late. That’s what really scares me.

mfs will scream to high heaven about "tHe FoUnDiNg FaThErS' oRiGiNaL iNtEnT" when talking about the constitution, but will patently ignore the fact that minimum wage - when it was first passed - was intended to allow a single full-time worker to afford to buy a house and support a family.

On the one hand you have a political party that believes in the rule of law. On the other hand, you have a political party which is lawless & authoritarian. The journalist who presents these as being of equal democratic legitimacy is dragging society half way into lawlessness. This isn't neutrality.
