mods asleep post Trans Popeye
Popeye in a pretty dress walking down a cliff side with his horse, saying "CAREFUL - HORSH - IT'S STEEP - WE'RE GOIN' DOWN INTO BLACK VALLEY NOW" A cruel man and his henchman -- the hench says "Boss, that gal I was tellin' you about got a job at the 'Thirst-Killer' dancin'" while the man says "SO? HMMM..."

Meanwhile, Popeye is in an incredibly short skirt and tank top, with one of his legs so far behind his back that you can't see it, saying "HERE'S A STEP I LEARN'T WHEN I WAS IN THE FOLLIES. ME LEF' LEG IS STRAIGHT OUT IN BACK OF ME" The tough guy, at Popeye in his short skirt, saying exasperatedly "YOU DISH-FACED, SCRAWNY, LITTLE, ONE-EYED, HALF-WITTED SPECK OF DIRT - I SAID - WILL YOU MARRY ME?"

To which Popeye replies, in a cutie-pie pose, "I wouldn't marry no man wich is willin' to marry a gal as arful as I yam!"

🟠it would be super cool digging into the laser side of Tron? like everyone always gets blinded misinterpreting what the grid is and don't really dig into the laser science (which I guess is true to the OG movie where they "digitize" an apple, a literal miralce, and are like "hey kinda cool?")

Wish I'd seen this video from a Scientology insider, who confirms that, despite the obfuscation and spin from the Church, Hubbard was in fact dead-ity dead for years rather than communicating with Winter via mailed tapes as per the press notes

Tried the new Star Trek Voyager demo today. Before I tried the demo I was like "oh that's a cool concept for a game, I'm excited for that". Now I'm VERY excited for that.

I still can't believe there's a Voyager game in 2025 of all fucking years, but no joke this could be AWESOME.

In leaked Gamefreak documents Pokemon gen 8 was originally going to be prehistoric themed and wait a second, thats my old T. rex artwork?? What the hell thats so cool???
Screenshot of design documents for Pokemon gen 8 discussing prehistoric animals. To the side there is a small squished version of my old fluffy T. rex drawing used to demonstrate the animal for this document. I have no idea why this specific rex I did took off but it was never meant to be an accurate one even at the time, folks just latched onto it and it haunts me.

famous film without being paid to by its marketing team would inherently be a worthless pursuit. Nearly everyone believes that, because we all police our own thoughts in favour of capital.

The worst thing about this is that the corporations who make the films and video games do not police this. They don't have to. Nobody ever breaches the line. We have all internalised that no matter how much passion, reinterpretation and artistry you would bring to it, writing a novelisation of a

I sincerely believe that if you gave the five most lofty literary novelists the ability to write novelisations of, say, star wars, with absolutely no creative restrictions or directional guidance whatsoever besides a note saying "go nuts," we would get actual great art

2) the stories that are well-known enough for anyone to want to novelise now are films and video games, so we are not "allowed" to rewrite their stories, even though retelling stories in our own voices is the oldest art form and second oldest profession.
