Photographs are said to capture a moment in time, a permanent monument to an impermanent action. A frozen image of what will never occur again, meant to be treasured and kept safe for future eyes to see when nostalgia swept through their soul.

That wasn’t what happened, when the cameras flashed to capture Luo Binghe in her entirety.

Oh, everything in the background looked just fine. Everyone else looked fine, too!

According to the general public, Luo Binghe always looked good. Good enough to plaster her likeness everywhere because that beautiful face-- perfectly captured on camera-- was the epitome of feminine beauty.

She didn’t agree.

Looking directly at the laptop with those dark eyes of hers, the piercing cold edge of a sharp blade, she took in the various photos that had just been taken, covering the entire screen like a mosaic made in hell.

In every single photo, Luo Binghe was rotting.
