First bird of my day: a Rook flapping steadily eastwards in the thickening grey clouds, while two Pied Wagtails skitter and twitter South, their high calls in stark contrast to Rook's deeper-voiced calls.

Squirrel loved exploring and experiencing all the world had to offer.
He seemed like such a fearless little explorer, climbing higher and higher in his tree.
In fact, he was pretty scared most the time.
He just knew if you wanted the best views, you had to do the scary climbs.

Which is all very well, but they're still going after poor/sick/disabled people's benefits, still going after immigrants, & still going after trans folx's rights, so who the fuck cares?!
They're being hateful and unnecessarily cruel - these pledges being met doesn't negate that hateful cruelty!

The climate crisis.
Or possibly the existence of billionaires and the fossil fuel lobby. Because if we got rid of all of that lot, we'd be able to get on with solving the climate crisis anyway. Plus their money'd come in useful for the redistribution of wealth!

Heard an odd pattering noise outside my window and glanced out to see a Maggie bopping along the windowsill. A beady eye looked back at me as it spotted it had my attention, then it flew off & I startled at the sudden burst of movement.
There were 10 of them out there just before that.
