Some people got upset with me a few days ago for saying I thought Machado and Trump were working together toward regime change in Venezuela, and now there are B-52 bombers in the sky off the coast of the country and the CIA engaging in covert ops within it.

Just when I think I've read the worst sentence I'll ever read every day it gets worse

Can we make a lore reason for this? Lord Montgomery 612 years ago set rates so that prices can't fluctuate when disasters happen (essentially, trying to stop things like people hoarding key items and selling at highly inflated prices), which for an RPG world, is probably a lot more common than ours

Conversations with the 8yo DM:

8yo DM: The prices of magic item in DnD are messed up.

Me: How do?

8yo DM: The prices are based off rarity which is supply and they completely ignore demand.

I don't understand what Kemi Badenoch thinks she's doing.

"Hi guys, I'm a black woman here to tell you we should all be a little more racist and sexist. Please vote for me."

Anyone you're getting through to is just gonna find a white man to vote for who's saying the same things!

Let’s also remember that the ECHR has protected British people from abuses of power by its own government.

We must protect the ECHR, not leave it
peterstefanovic.bsky.social
When the Tories were last in office - according to international Human Rights Watch - UK was on course to make list of countries that abuse rather than protect human rights. Is it any wonder they want us to join Russia & Belarus as only European countries outside the ECHR

People who work with RFK Jr has claimed that RFK Jr believes that Diseases should be allowed to run through populations and kill the weak.

Which is consistent with exactly what RFK Jr actively did in Samoa leading to many deaths.

He is a Eugenicist.

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

Billionaire claims that know what non-billionaires really want …

Including weird claim that people “miss”
things that apparently used to be free but aren’t free anymore that AI will make free again???

ANDREESSEN: Even if AI ends up destroying all the jobs, “the result would be hyper-deflation of prices, which is the thing that people miss. .. Things that today cost a lot of money will all of a sudden be cheap or free.”

In Discworld, cities thrive because they welcome dwarfs, trolls, vampires, and humans alike. Ankh-Morpork works because everyone belongs. Funny how fiction can seem more humane than policy sometimes.
