Great thread on multi-camera TV.

I think partly this is down to the absolute obsession with realism, often to the exclusion of all other forms of expression. Anything even slightly heightened or, god forbid, theatrical is seen as dated.

So I've had a day and change to recover. What @auntydonnaboys.bsky.social have put together for D.R.E.M. was some of the most intense clowning I have ever seen. Simple concepts that just got bigger and louder and more jaw-achingly funny as they went on. Best night of live comedy I've seen in years.

This is hugely useful from Cavan. Because of my incredibly ridiculous path into getting to write Star Wars books, people can sometimes think I cracked a magic formula. What Cavan talks about here is, I think, far better and more realistic advice on the topic!
