Yeah, I got connected to a specific migrant family 7 years ago, when I felt so helpless about separation/detention. I realized (even with my limited funding) I can help ONE family. Furnished (with help) their first apt. Still friends, auntie to the kids. If people can find one family con't 1/2

Another way to help is to reach out to local schools that may have unaccompanied migrant kids. My volunteer group connected with a title one school, and we do frequent care packages/gift cards/handwritten notes for the 25 teens in the school - they know in our big city they're a little less alone.
