They were also gloating about how no artist would ever be able to make a living again and at best they'd be chained to the Slop Feed Intake mechanism drawing the same thing over and over again to train Slop Output for less than subsistence wages. They did it with journalists and writers, too.

I don't know if anyone remembers this, but when GPT and Stable Diffusion first hit the scene, choads online were gloating about how "this would put the porn thots out of business and all the hoes would need to work for a living again", and I'm pretty sure this is part of that grand design.

I see how we treat people, I know the kind of people we are as a society. I see how we tear each other to shreds for fun. It's a deeply cruel society. People who talk a lot about community and solidarity are mostly full of shit. That's sort of why I'm even like I am. I love people, don't trust em.

After I got sort of got clear of it, the dynamic never really left. I remembered who ignored me as I was going hungry and I remembered who stuck with me when I didn't have anywhere to live and knowing that my friends would have just watched me no matter how bad it got informs me still.

I know this is old but since you reposted it, it's like - I got lucky because I was able to get enough together for an apartment right before the patience of the people who's floor I was sleeping ran out, basically. You're at people's mercy, you can feel the difference in the relationship develop.
