I can think of one person I know who doesn't engage much with social media so they think JKR as been "cancelled". I dont think yhey have heard anything beyond that.

I think if you’re not a very online person then people like Rowling are not as far down on your gradient of “awful people” because you haven’t seen first-hand the depths of just how fucked they are. Not only that, but if you try to explain it to people, you’re the one who ends up sounding crazy.
