We’wha (1849-1896), a notable weaver and potter Lhamana (Zuni Two Spirit), took on both masculine and feminine tasks as a Zuni cultural ambassador and pottery and textile artist.
Also a spiritual leader, We’wha endeavored to preserve the history, traditions, and knowledge of the Zuni people.

They’re aiding with search/rescue and disaster relief to several Alaska Native villages hit with a climate change induced natural disaster

As an Inupiaq vtuber I included cultural tattoos into my design including a chin tattoo called tavlugun.

This practice was banned in the US with the arrival of Christian missionaries, and that ban held until the passing of Indian Religious Freedom Act of 1978

Not only is he a grifter, raising funds for nonexistent things, but he ALSO scrapes other peoples' and tribes stories and wisdom and pretends they are his own.

He is an example of extractive whiteness, and represents no one.

I am seeing a lot of people reposting Lakota Man today bc it's Indigenous Peoples Day. A reminder that he is not well liked amongst many (most?) Natives on social media. Many of us blocked him a long time ago. Some of the reasons why are in this article.

Lakota Man has a long history of posting mostly about men and about ancestors and not supporting current Natives. He has upset a lot of Natives on social media and most of us don't follow him or have blocked him. If you search for his name, there is a huge document outlining grievances against him.
