@mrjamesob.bsky.social @lbc.co.uk Asks why all this emphasis on the China espionage case in the British press?
Well the newspaper bosses seem to be interested in keeping the Farage bandwagon going. There is a need to distract from the Russia story.
Guess they want to see a Faragist government.

UNRWA has enough food outside #Gaza to supply people there for 3 months, amid desperate need. Our teams stand ready to deliver it.

But despite the #ceasefire, the Israeli Authorities’ block on UNRWA bringing any supplies into Gaza still continues.

Let us get aid into Gaza at the full scale needed.

@amelia825.bsky.social "Elly" - why "Amelia" in handle? Exclusively following men. Claims to be "good and honest", but using a pic of a woman whose images are in such prolific use on social media/escort/dating sites, I can't trace the real owner. See Google screenshot.

Tommy Rogers (b.1849) was one of the last Severn watermen. He was a coracle maker, poacher, and larger-than-life Ironbridge character. Known for his expert knowledge of the Severn, he saved 8 lives and recovered more than 80 bodies alongside his son from the river Severn.

And, yes, wildlife, we need to stop washing nitrate + phosphate into a river where salmon are perilously close to becoming locally extinct.

Stiffening regulation and inspections on defaulters needs to be included though, otherwise:-

Jobs working directly on the river - fishing guides, boating, watersports, but also, cafés, pubs, hotels, tourist attractions - many small + medium size businesses depend on a clean river. Their interests need to be considered as well as those of the companies who run intensive farms.

Jubb explains there's always been a balance between farming + river health, but the growing number of intensive chicken farms in the area has tipped that balance so that the river is losing out, fish are losing out, wildlife is losing out, businesses that rely on a thriving river are losing out:

Glad to see the govt has extended these vital schemes as farmers were facing a cliff edge at the end of the year.

But what we really need is a long-term farming support scheme that protects nature & supports food production - this should be an urgent priority for govt.
A screenshot of the government's press release. Text reads "Countryside Stewardship extended to support farming and nature
Thousands of farmers will receive extensions to continue restoring nature and farming sustainably, supporting long-term food security."

Who runs Labour’s housing policy? The biggest profit-driven big developers, that’s who.

Not councils, not Mayors with carefully Green-influenced policies, not housing co-ops or charities, not even housing associations. And definitely not homeless families.

I quite like Jeremy Corbyn ethics but he does seem unable to handle the horses, so to speak.
McDonnell/Starmer looked like the sensible crowd, little did we realise the cauldron of betrayel they masked tho, all now fully revealed.
So, who knows where this is going, the next GE will be bonkers imo.

Mutual aid, maybe.
But yes, "join forces" , not entirely sure what that might mean.
The overlaps won't help when each of them are only doing 3000 when candidates hit 17000 at the GE. so some collaboration is needed but what?

Rachel Reeves should consider welfare cuts in budget, says right-wing IFS.

They want the govt to hurt the poor, old, sick, disabled; curtail redistribution which enables millions to survive.

Silence on corporate welfare, ending profiteering, tax abuse by corporations/rich.

It is class war.
