I know it was probably too much work for him and he scrapped them because maybe even he thought they weren't funny enough, but I still miss when TechMoan did the puppet sketches. British humor, with puppets? That's my cup of tea.

Sometimes when I posted images of Barbarella, people initially thought it was AI. No, no, it's a real 1968 movie. ☝️

How Rich Do You Want to Be asks Ocean Software in January 1986's Your Sinclair.

And it would have felt by then like anyone and everyone with a microcomputer and learned programming in mid-80s Britain could strike it rich. A tempting prospect to those growing up in declining industrial cities.
A magazine ad for Ocean Software as they start hitting it big and recruiting in-house staff and calling for freelancers to send in their programs on tapes.

I coined the term “react jerk” for videos like that.

Yeah. It’s probably time we as humanity all collectively agree that “famous” doesn’t equal “license to stalk you, chuck merchandise at you from a distance, or take photos of you at inappropriate times and places.” The lack of boundaries is way beyond out of control.

The analog hell-screams of bytes pumped in and relentlessly converted into sound and light.

Sounds like a perfect time. 👏

A beautiful tux. She reminds me of Sydney, who we lost far too young to cancer. Gentle as a lamb. Hid under my chair or a table any time it rained. Smelled every package I brought in the house - Postal Inspector Numero Uno. It has been almost 20 years and I still miss her.

Random Game from the Collection #993

Double Switch for Sega CD

This is one of those Sega CD games that I bought because it's cheap and I'm just trying to start building my collection. I really know nothing about this one.

Anyone played this?

New for 1993 - the Apple Macintosh Colour Classic.

The final model of the compact Macs introduced almost a decade earlier, the Colour Classic is quite a swish little system, sporting a 10" Sony Trinitron display and either a 16mhz or 33mhz 030 processor.
The front cover of the Apple Catalogue for Spring 1993 with the Colour Classic photographed with a very vibrant display with rich colours of red and yellow tulips on the screen. Printouts, keyboard and mouse are on the marbley desk on which it all sits. Very clean and stylish.

In the Samaria Gorge on the island of Crete, Greece, lies a very deep cave with a continual cold spring waterfall. To reach it, you have to swim about 100 meters in 10 degree (C) water. I spent time thinking about hypothermia I was so cold. Nice payoff tho.

Pic of the day

#photography
Walls of the cave direct you to a small bright opening in which a cold mountain spring falls to bright turquoise water.

Along with Denali Mountain and Bryce Canyon, this is the most majestic place I’ve ever been.

My teeth rattling even as I could stand in only waist deep water kept me from fully enjoying it,, but no chance I was missing this just for some discomfort.

It seemed to get progressively colder tho so this is about as close as I got. In later days I’ll post a shot looking back thru the caves. The video I took is really the best indicator of the beauty here but I dunno if I can post that here or not. I may try in the comments later today.
