Absolutely obsessed with framing your employees sleeping on the floor as a humble brag

“Look how hard my team works” no dude you’re just bad at project management.

Imagine a browser where you type in “Taylor Swift” and it doesn’t even admit that her website exists. I write about Atlas, ChatGPT’s new anti-web browser that should come with a warning label. www.anildash.com/2025/10/22/a...

ChatGPT’s new Atlas browser doesn’t just see what you read — it remembers it.

@eff.org’s Lena Cohen showed me it even logged “memories” of her looking for *abortion care* and her doctor’s name. Out-surveils even Chrome.

Column | ChatGPT just came out with its own web browser. Use it with caution.
OpenAI’s Atlas promises AI-powered convenience. The price? Letting ChatGPT track and store “memories” of what you do online.

I only ever had a: “the only good Nazi is a dead Nazi” phase.
And I’m still fucking in it.
i actually don’t think the “average” american millennial man had a nazi phase. it’s not some boys will be boys shit. this makes me side eye you and your friend group, sounds like a personal problem
Hey, @aoc.bsky.social when you become President, please make @marcelias.bsky.social your AG.
Go wired (ethernet) if you can. Sometimes building construction can present enough interference, multipathing, and attenuation that your effective bandwidth under load will suffer.
Honestly, I hope the Louvre jewel theives never get caught.
Good on them for pulling it off. Hope they can cash in and some POS wealthy rube gets caught holding the bag.

My client: "Hey can I get access to the Domain Controller? Since we moved to the cloud I don't have access any more."

Me: "No. No one needs access to the domain controllers anymore except me. You have all the roles and permissions you need in EntraID/O365 to do the technical stuff you want."
I wonder what California could be if we stopped subsidizing the rest of the country.

AWS (Antifa Web Services) doing the #NoPings protest today
There are very few tasks I have found “AI” speeds things up, or improves them; but have found that it more often than not, takes longer than my brain would to do the same thing.

Maybe I’m just not giving it sufficiently complex tasking… but shit does not look hopeful from my perspective.

My 10" homelab rack is coming along nicely. Two laser engraved acrylic sheets with cool stuff from @dustrial.net running 74 addressable LEDs each. Wife claims this does not look great in the living room?
One time I downloaded all the PDFs of weed store applications from one state’s website, parsed them into csv data with a single oneliner.

I did that just fine without wasting money on “Ai”
Was figuring out how to use pdf2text too hard or something?

Yes please, let me waste time, money and the environment to fail to do something a few oneliners can do on a RaspberryPi in 30sec.
This person is paying OpenAI two hundred dollars a month to have a chatbot gaslight them about making an excel spreadsheet
I’m still laughing about the “New Jersey Drone Scare” videos showing OBVIOUS airliners, helicopters and small planes.

Like, bro I can hear the Airbus whistle.

My estimates for the San Francisco #NoKings attendance was about 25-35% more people than last time.
The arrangement and arrival + dispersal patterns were much more weather dependent. Was extremely warm in the sun and nice and pleasant in the shade.
