Iowa Senate just approved a bill that would require counties w/a state university (Johnson, Story, Black Hawk) to elect county supervisors by district, rather than at large.
They claim the goal is greater rural representation.
Obvious goal is electing Republicans.

Our county (Johnson, Iowa), through our ambulance service, has partnered with the Kerber Heart Safe initiative. We provide 24/7/365 accessible AED/Narcan boxes throughout the county and offer the public an app to respond to cardiac events as a stopgap until advanced EMS can arrive.

This is a really, really good act of protest that uses a protest language that has a chance of reaching people who would otherwise dismiss the issue. You can tell by how many former Catholics are seeing it here and having like entire full-body shudders despite having left the church decades ago.
