Indivisible believes nonviolence is how we win. Not because it's easy—but because it works.

Violent rhetoric is rising. Attacks on immigrants, activists, and electeds are real.

We choose another path. Walk with us.

Good evening, Portland! Tonight, we’re considering a resolution and an ordinance that will strengthen our ability as a city to safeguard Portlanders from federal overreach and militarization.🧵

Hey. Hi. Tom Homan is on camera taking a $50k bribe and no one knows where the money went. If this was any other administration, this would be non-stop on the news. Why are we normalizing this stuff?

Sanders: They have refused to negotiate. And anyone thinks that tomorrow they'll suddenly start negotiating. I think, is smoking what is illegal in many states

AOC: And should be legal in more.

The court is not illegitimate because it issues bad rulings

The court is illegitimate because it cannot even build a consistent legal framework out of those rulings and in that failure rejects law

Six of the nine are honest-to-God just Schmittians going off of “my friends good, my enemies bad”

The Supreme Court simultaneously holds that:
*it is impossible for them to do anything about blatant gerrymandering
*they are entitled to dismantle, bit by bit, the landmark civil rights law of the last century

Again, it must be said that there is *no* evidence of any cartels offering bounties for harming DHS officials. Zero. None. Not a shred. This all comes from a press release DHS posted which contained no evidence, no proof, no reports, no photos.

Parents of a Marine stationed at Camp Pendleton went to visit her and were arrested by ICE on the militarybase. The father who was a resident of Oceanside, California was then deported.

Neither of the parents have a criminal record, both have pending green card applications, and valid work permits
US Marine’s Parents Detained by ICE While Visiting Military Base
The parents were initially taken into custody on base and later released with ankle monitors, before being detained again.

Purfeerst Farms is a fifth-generation, family-owned farm in Fairbault.

Tariffs are putting Minnesota farms at risk, with soybeans piling up as our trading partners look elsewhere.

They don’t want a bailout from the guy who caused the crisis. They want strong markets.

This is so stupid

Yes, they are going to try to rig the elections, everyone knows this

They will only be successful if you let them

Rigging elections was what got the dictators of Ukraine and Serbia (to start) overthrown

Have some self-respect and stop preemptively ceding your God-given rights
jonbowzerbauman.bsky.social
I am reluctantly coming to the conclusion that The Dictator and his pals will stop at nothing to rig the 2026 elections, including declaring martial law & seizing voting machines for phony “recounts.”

We had best start looking at tactics that deal successfully with autocracies.

Apropos of nothing, once the President of the United States confirms covert CIA operations in a country… say, Venezuela, those operations are no longer covert.

And it puts CIA officers at significantly more risk.

House Speaker Mike Johnson directed House Republicans to flee D.C. and won’t swear in Representative-elect Grijalva because he’s terrified of releasing the Epstein files.

The American people want and deserve transparency and justice.

RELEASE THE EPSTEIN FILES.

This is good: Rep Eric Swalwell tells me House Dems are now discussing making an end to mask-wearing a precondition for ICE funding.

"When we are in the majority, the masks are coming off," he says.

This is the next frontier in anti-Trump resistance.

the extent to which media elites treat liberal americans as if they do not count in the body politic is a real problem
perrybaconjr.bsky.social
I read the piece. You shouldn't. He dismisses the "No Kings" protests as liberals in blue cities. He invokes Rosa Parks, as if rural white people in the 60s loved everything that the movement then was doing. "We need a movement but not this one" is a core centrist tact these days.

Make your plans for #NoKings. This Saturday, October 18th.
Free speech is action. Protestors believe that action has meaning. Protestors are exercising the rights enshrined in the Constitution. For me, protest is about love of country.
I'll be there. Please join in.

Six people had their visas revoked due to their social media posts.

Six people are being deported because of what they said online.

Six people have had their freedom of speech suspended.

It won’t stop with these six people.

Either we all have freedom of speech or none of us do.

It is a very short step from the military killing alleged drug traffickers off the coast of Venezuela to the military, ICE, or others killing people inside the US for crimes, real or imagined, as directed by the president.

We thank Republicans for their attention to this matter!

Let’s stop pretending. The issue before the Supreme Court right now is easy to understand: There are still many people on the far right who don’t see Black Americans as equals...they see them through the same filthy slur they whisper when the cameras are off. That's right...that word.
