My sincere New Year’s wish is that I’m wrong.

None of it will happen. The leopards won’t eat a single face. It won’t just be boring, but totally fine.

I just want to be wrong about all this.

“The Adventures of Ford Fairlaine” came out in 1990, that was peak Andrew Dice Clay. By 1993 the phenomenon was over. It’s not like he retired, he’s still touring. The world moved on from his schtick.

Plastic skeletons have a very high carbon footprint, so over Halloween, stick with hanging out the bones of those who wronged you.

Ironic given that she hasn’t held a town hall in a quarter of a century. Maine is a mystery to me

my man, nobody is "sure to win" against Susan Collins, she is literally one of the most talented & successful Republican politicians of the last 60+ years. anyone who says ANY Democrat is a sure thing in Maine clearly has no clue what the fuck they're talking about other than their own vibes.

I don’t care if it was a flop. Some studio should have given Charles Laughton all the money to direct whatever he wanted after Night of the Hunter

Trump said he'd focus on the “worst of the worst," but he's mostly focused on people like Melissa Tran — a MD business owner who's lived here 30 yrs and is a fixture of her community.

Cruel.

I salute all who fought for her release. After months in ICE detention, she's finally home.

Seen this before with Oprah’s acolytes. In a couple years he’ll be in the administration as the Secretary of Energy or something

It feels like Enron but as hostage taking. Like Altman knows it’s unsustainable and he’s driving the debt and interconnections so big and wide that governments worldwide will be forced to bail it all out when the crash comes, lest the global economy plunge into depression

Weird how this ceasefire is going exactly like the other ceasefires.

“Reforms” how quaint

That would be smart though, and this administration doesn’t do things the smart way

What’s to say about D’Angelo? I’m not terribly religious but when I think of the best of us–D’Angelo, David Lynch, Jane Goodall, Diane Keaton, Robert Redford–passing peacefully surrounded by loved ones all a few months apart I think that’s what a Rapture would look like in practice.

1. This refers to print circulation, counting digital I think The Post is still north of 2 million.
2. It still points to a dramatic loss for the Post and if market economics meant anything in a world of billionaires there’d be a complete overhaul to save the brand

Historically speaking, we need to convince them to leave a spare billion dollars to their secretaries, or publicly expose their infidelity spurring very public divorces. Barring that we could convince them that cancer can be cured via alternative medicines. Get the money to the ladies is what I mean

One thing you have to realize is that Israel has been very very good at the soft power stuff with politicians of all stripes. They name streets, playgrounds, hospitals, all manner of things after them. It’s hard to be critical of a place that has a park named after you

It seems like these people were summarily executed for crossing a line. Whether that was a violation of the agreement or not in some hyper technical sense, who gives a fuck? It was just people, and they didn’t have to be killed.

It's especially rich for Clarence Thomas to suggest that the Constitution requires public schools to obtain parental consent before acknowledging trans students' identity.

Such a right would be rooted in substantive due process—a concept Thomas dismissed as completely illegitimate in Dobbs.

We’ve totally ceded the future to China. Biden had laid out enough money to keep us competitive in all manner of energy production and the voters threw it all away for more coal. Just the dumbest empire collapse in history
