The way things are collapsing, it kind of reminds me of lines from a song cut from Hamilton:

You just invented a new kind of stupid
A damage you can never undo kind of stupid
An open all the cages in the zoo kind of stupid
A clearly you didn’t think this through kind of stupid

It has been said before, but it bears repeating: the elderly who’ve worked their entire lives to get $800 a month on Social Security aren’t bankrupting America. It’s tax-evading billionaires like Trump who are bleeding this country dry.

The richest man on earth owns X.

The second richest man on earth is about to acquire TikTok and his family could soon own both Paramount and Warner Bros.

The third richest man owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

The fourth richest man owns The Washington Post.

See the problem here?

I don’t know if Kamala Harris plans to run in 2028, but this here is a master class in how to handle a loaded question.

“I never listen to polls. If I listened to polls, I would never have run for my first office or my second office. And I certainly wouldn’t be sitting here in this interview.” 🔥

I get the feeling the make up of ICE is people who came in hated by everyone who knew them already.

IDWeek is the flagship infectious-disease meeting for American scientists, but a lot of the CDC was absent because of the government shutdown. At least 10 listed speakers didn't appear. Meanwhile, we see surges in measles, and respiratory virus season is coming up. WTF

I’ve heard that before.

This. Hitler didn’t jump in and just start killing ppl. They make it so a bad thing happens every day so you get numb. You wait for that really bad thing to happen and then you think you’ll defend your rights (which seems to be happening more). But it’s not one thing- it’s thousands. Don’t wait.

A friend recently told me that they didn’t think ICE would deploy tear gas in well to do neighborhoods with a high density of white people. I understood their thinking, but disagreed. Today, they gassed Lakeview. Nothing is off limits to these people.
My fifth grade teacher told us how she had survived polio as a kid and had to learn how to walk all over again.

The lies about kids not being sick premodern medicine never make sense to me, because who doesn’t know that humans use to die really, really early. Did no one play Oregon Trail?
Schneider was born in 1963.
Pretty sure that childhood diseases like measles and rubella (just for a start) were definitely around.

zohran mamdani’s whole vibe is “best muppet show guest ever,” you don’t hear rumors about him as much as even being rude to anyone, and people ostensibly in his own party are continuing to paint him as a bad person, like what the actual fuck people

"McDowell County remains deep red — a place where voting Republican is as common as Sunday church. And that’s the paradox. These same communities that depend heavily on federal aid often vote for politicians who promise to shrink it."

Our military is being paid by an anonymous donor.

Our WH East Wing was demolished for a ballroom - paid for by donors.

These aren’t acts of benevolence or patriotism.

This is the oligarchy assuming control, insidiously becoming part of how we function.

Every American should reject it.

And how the fuck does that make it remotely acceptable?

Hi @grahamformaine.bsky.social

You said you stand by your earlier question. Cool.

Ignorant stereotypes aside, this Black man is a damn good tipper.

Now my question for you: how many Black people did you even serve in Maine, with a 1.68% Black population, to make that kind of judgment?

It's gonna be weird when Bezos and other billionaires are dying of cancer and start getting even more and more desperately obsessed with immortality than currently.

Like, Steve Jobs went with crystals and homeopathy but he didn't have high-octane LLM gasoline pouring delusions into his brain 24/7.

Just for the record, in 2020:
- Wray was the FBI director Trump handpicked to replace Comey
- Jack Smith was in the Hague prosecuting Kosovo war crimes
- Garland was an appeals court judge
- Monaco was in private practice in LA

There was no Biden administration yet, crooked or otherwise.

He crazy.
