During the civil rights movement, the National Guard was not there to protect federal agents, but to protect little black children from local police
Markwayne Mullin: "This makes the point why President Trump needs to deploy these National Guard members. There is a federal role. We have seen this in the Civil Rights Movement all the way with JFK, LBJ, we've seen it in history before where National Guard has been used to protect federal agents."

The White House is asking people not to share pictures of the East Wing because it’s even worse today.

I lived with my dad when I was very young and he didn’t apply for food stamps or free school lunches, though we qualified.

So, I went hungry. It was awful. I begged neighbors for saltine crackers. I can say it was the worst time of my life.

Children shouldn’t go hungry. Restore SNAP benefits.
“Not sure”?!
One thing you can be sure of—if the protests and marches had been violent, the press coverage would have been massive, and there wouldn’t be so much “uncertainty.”
Blissful ignorance and MAGA blindness also certainly factor in to such an idiotic response.

All the things folks pretended were happening in 2022-23 under Joe Biden are actually happening now under Donald Trump
Highest credit card delinquency since the financial crisis 14 years ago.

Add that to home sellers outnumbering homebuyers, consumer confiance plummeting, consumer spending plummeting, inflation increasing, growth decreasing unemployment increasing… a brewing storm.

Good economic news all around👍👍

White House expands East Wing demolition as critics decry Trump overreach
More of the structure was torn down Tuesday to make way for President Donald Trump’s planned ballroom, despite complaints about the project’s lack of transparency,

Call me ignorant, but I thought that special rules had to be followed in destroying parts or all of any building on the National Register of Historic Places. But since Trump makes and breaks all the rules, I suppose it doesn’t matter to anyone outside the MAGA-sphere. 😡
the president has destroyed the east wing of the white house without so much as a word of input from anyone else to build a royal ballroom paid for with bribes
NEW: After The Washington Post reported Monday on the demolition of the "East Wing facade," a new picture obtained by Law Dork that was taken on Tuesday shows that a substantial portion of the entirety of the East Wing has been demolished.

JD Vance, probably: "These are just kids. Would you expect a two-year old to know they are supposed to pay for cocktails?"
The Young Republicans of New York appears to have been mostly a dine and dash club for grifter racists. At least three incidents of stiffing hospitality bills: "a former Donald Trump campaign staffer alleged the group owed $7,000 to Redneck Riviera, a bar and live music venue in Nashville"

Along with the $20 billion U.S. taxpayer bailout to Argentina, the Trump admin announced another $20 billion for Argentina from private banks. But the banks won’t lend the money without a guarantee from the federal government. So it’s a $40B taxpayer bailout.

🧊✈️ BROKEN WINGS❓😬

👉 Sunday, an Eastern 737 (tail: N660CP) arrived at about 9:30am on an ICE mission to Hanscom Airfield outside Boston.

But instead of proceeding south to Louisiana, it unloaded all the detainees and returned to its home base in Youngstown OH, where it remains idle.

I’ve been waiting for many years for a prominent Democrat to relentlessly fact-check their lies in real time rather than issuing press statements days later when it’s too late.

Here's a gift link to the New York Times' coverage of the initial Tea Party rallies in April 2009 which inspired the media to treat it like a massive movement.

Check out how tiny the crowds were:

Philly: 200
DC: "several hundred"
Boston: 500
Austin: 1,000
Houston: 2,000
