I would literally plan my summer around this.
They should have a section of the Louvre that people can steal from for fun. They could make a little competition reality show out of it, like Top Chef for heists. This year's crown jewels furnished by San Pellegrino.

Live your life such that when you slip into dementia, the people around you love you enough to take you out of the spotlight, care for you, unplug your stove, listen to your repeated stories, don't argue when you confuse them with another person.

No one loves this man & we're all paying the price.
Is there -- any context for this? Is there someone there who they actually call Darth Vader? If so, who? And if not, what is going on and just how much of his brain is now rancid tapioca and also will Darth Vader be dining with Hannibal Lecter in the new White House ballroom?
Trump: "We have Darth Vader. You know Darth Vader, right? Darth Vader is a man who is sitting -- is that Darth? Stand up please. Does everybody know -- they call him Darth Vader, I call him a fine man. But he's cutting Democrat priorities and they're never gonna get them back."

Darth Vader and Hannibal Lecter want Donald Trump to stop talking about them.
For the record, this is $1 trillion: $1,000,000,000,000. If you worked nonstop for $40/hour (more than twice the minimum wage) it would still take you almost 3 million *years* to earn the amount they're cutting from Medicaid.
Mike Johnson: "We're fighting for healthcare as well. Not just in word but in deed. We put in the one big beautiful bill, real reforms to Medicaid to make it work better."

(The bill in fact cuts nearly $1 trillion from Medicaid.)
Almost. The Roberts Court ruled that corporations that participate in politics cannot be restricted, not all that corporate entities have an inalienable right to political participation. The difference is not just semantics, it's the "loophole" that the Montana amendment is attempting to exploit.

this was in the British food section of the grocer. is England okay
It's a Supreme Court case. This is an open dare to the Roberts Court to declare a corporate right to political speech. Fine. Go for it. Goodluck. But no matter who wins, Super PACs, 501(c)(4)s, etc will still exist. The money will flow. If centrists ever embrace electoral reform then I'll have hope.
Who's shitting on anyone? Despite my personal cynicism on the outcome, I still hope they succeed. The idea that legal fictions should ever be allowed to participate in politics is anatural and abhorrent. Quit trying to start beef where there isn't any. We're all in the same foxhole against fascism.
If only Citizens United could be defeated by One Weird Trick. Let's be clear: even if Montana succeeds in this, all it will do is change the name of who signs the checks.
This is the best political news I’ve seen in a very long time — so please pass it on👇

Each state can limit Citizens United in their own state & they don’t have to wait for other states to do it.

Imagine thinking domestic violence isn’t “really serious”
Q: This has been reported for a while. Cory Mills was accused of beating a girlfriend in his DC apt. Are you concerned about these allegations?

JOHNSON: You have to ask Rep. Mills about that. He's been a faithful colleague. I don't know the details. Let's talk about things that are really serious
Capitalism at its finest.
“Patrek Chase, kidney transplant program director at Parkland Health in Dallas, claimed that patients at his hospital – which generally serves a poorer population – were passed over for a healthy organ in favor of patients at UT Southwestern Medical Center, which generally helps the affluent.”
