The NHS has been ideologically attacked, carved up into regions & subjected to stealth privatisation. PFI has been a crushing disaster.

Yeah in the UK the worst ppl would at least hide away in the shadows being awful. Then we got complacent. The BBC attempted to ban Nigel Farage from Question Time and we got newspaper backlash of “what harm could it cause to listen to fringe extreme views!?”

A decade later he caused Brexit.

I watched Newsnight last night for the first time for ages, party as Derbyshire and Caroline Lucas were on it, both who I respect. The BBC for a change (sarcasm) also included an ex-Tory defect Maria Cauldfield now Reform. Derbshire destroyed Cauldfield who blustered and whimpered her way through.

Abbenbroek is a small Dutch village, the town's shield has been updated a bit since then.
Although technically, probably, named after a brook called Abben, because it sounds like pants in Dutch, we've gone with it.

The plaque honoring the law enforcement officers who responded to the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol, which was commissioned by Congress in 2022, remains in storage. Mike Johnson has refused to place it on the wall, as was intended. That "deed" speaks pretty loudly.

The BBC tells us there are Palestinians waiting to be evacuated from Gaza through the Rafah crossing for medical treatment abroad but Israel is refusing to open the crossing so they can't leave.

Al Jazeera shows us one of those people, a baby girl who desperately needs surgery.
