The ‘dense bean salad’ trend on TikTok last year really hit for me. Basic formula is just beans + vinaigrette + cheese + veggies, store in fridge and snack all week. I’m partial to the ‘Italian Grinder’ flavor profile, but there are tons of ways to make it your own

This year I gave out candy, bouncy balls, stickers, and pens

Pens were, by far, the most popular option. Every single child expressed pure delight at being offered a pen. I was told mine was “the best house of the whole night” because of the pens 😆

Conclusion: kids love office supplies

Three buckets of trick or treat options: bucket one is full of stickers, bucket two is assorted candy, bucket three is bouncy balls and Halloween pens

On Saints Row we had a debug npc named Skinballs (lol) that was literally just four spheres wrapped in different shades of skin texture so we could test lighting for different skin tones during development. But teams need to plan for that kind of testing with intentionality, and not enough do.
