@allisonpregler.bsky.social Oh hey, apparently Carmen Electra made an appearance in a music video of an artist I like:

(Am I using that connection to also promote an artist that I think is incredibly underrated and deserves more recognition? Maybe.)

This is FANTASTIC. I knew it was based in Ireland, from and Irish dev but I was blown away by some smart it is. First person detective game with some super smart time and investigation mechanics. Out in just a few weeks.

Check out the demo. It's seriously wonderful.
The Séance of Blake Manor is part of the Steam Next Fest. Check out the demo if you haven't already.

The game is launching on the 27th of Oct!

On the plus side, got two books from the library (my mom wants to invent something, and I want to figure out how to be productive without feeling like a slog)
Two Books: Nolo’s Patents for Beginners, and Make Time: How to focus on what matters every day
(The other thing, often having the feeling my tweets are a loop, that doesn’t help)
And that is why you get mostly retweets (when I remember to retweet)
Realizing part of the reason I really have never talked much on social media is specifically because I don’t think I have anything interesting to say, so I start getting depressed, which makes me wanna type about being, sad which I don’t like cause I don’t think it helps me or anyone who follows me

doing the video game remake discourse for today but applying it to other things. no we won't let you stream bewitched the tv show on your platform because you can just get the will ferrell movie version instead
I think this might explain why (besides just also loving traveling more than survival) I tend to enjoy Amazing Race more. It doesn’t matter what kind of Personality you are, end of the day your ultimate goal is to cross a finish line first

i'm playing some Dokapon Kingdom over here
Considering how hard it can be for my brain to focus, and how much i tend to use spending as a way to be happy, genuinely a little bit of an accomplishment for me

The America’s Funniest Home Videos theme song has a line that goes “Stories from your friend next door they never told,” and it’s stuck in my head this morning both because of the clunky syntax but also because it would seem to promise a genre of home video that the show never actually showed.
I actually did it, I went a full week without spending any money (no eating out, games, random impulse buys nothing). Only... three more weeks to go

I'm still hesitating to watch his Password cause on the one hand, love Keke Palmer, but on the other I'd have to deal with him on every single episode because apparently he had to insert himself somewhere

Basically, if you were to ever ask me about an anime you’re 9 times out of 10 getting a blank stare from me, and I’m so sorry about that
This can be easily and quickly summed up as “most popular/cult anime”

I didn’t have internet til late in my teens, Saturday morning cartoons were more of an occasional thing than a regular watch, and cable was on and off for me in my childhood
Inspired by a post I just saw in which someone admitted they hadn’t seen a single episode of Friends nor the film Love Actually… what cultural hole do you have that’s a bit weird for your generation?

I’ll go first: I haven’t seen Dirty Dancing.
I can always tell when I’m feeling weird/off emotionally because I start doing a lot of things impulsively to try and improve things in my life all at once

Unrelated, I guess I’ve decided today to focus exclusively on spending money on only essentials so, wish me luck there!

Becky is one of the all-time legends -- a master of her craft, a fount of knowledge on the industry, and an incredible positive role model for us trans folk to aspire to. She's had an incredibly rough go of it these last several years, and I urge you to consider supporting her in this time of need.
