It it better for cops to be seen as facilitating the actions of big masses of people, because the alternative is appearing vastly overwhelmed by them, which would undermine their power.

This is the only reason they are ever seemingly “friendly” or “supportive” to big liberal marches.

It does not mean they are on your side. It does not mean that they are a hair’s breadth away from setting down their arms or quitting their jobs. All it means is that they recognize that their ability to police depends on establishing some kind of legitimacy. It’s counterinsurgency, simple as that.

Police departments performing support for massive protests (posting pics of officers participating, praising cooperation, etc.) is not new.

In 2020, cops doing kneeling photo-ops at daytime protests started gassing and beating the rest of us as soon as most of the liberals took their signs home.

During Thanksgiving and holidays, people want to do food drives where they collect canned goods etc... and I really would love to offer that food banks need MONEY so if you can collect and donate MONEY please do that. They can then use those funds to purchase what's needed AT DISCOUNTS.

I've been trying out different things depending on venue & this worked really well. The hanging organizers are attached to the canopy frame with s hooks. People responded really well to the visibility of the zine covers, it made browsing really easy. Plus, packing up was a breeze!

I'm going to every one of these kinds of events with a ton of zines & a passion to talk with folks about the information I offer. I'm seeing a significant difference over the last 6mo in how people are interacting with me & zines.

Yesterday, I talked to many people about the importance of zines, diy print, & independent media in a world where the elite capture of legacy media means that Americans have vanishingly few options for news & media they can trust. People are hungry for better options & eager to learn.

I was too busy with the table to take a picture of it but my wife snuck a photo when my back was literally turned. For once I'm not mad, it's actually a good picture of my vest's back patch. Hand painted on black canvas & sewn on.
