Lots of lovely folks want to cook for neighbors, fill community fridges during SNAP shutdown but are intimidated. A mutual aid group in Flatbush, Brooklyn has been feeding 80+ people every single week for a year and a half or so now. Nobody is born knowing how to cook for 80, so here's our guide!

PSA as we near the suspension of SNAP benefits: I signed up to be a volunteer driver for meals on wheels through the SF-Marin Food Bank and it was so, so easy to do.

Under 24 hour turnaround from submitting my background check to being able to sign up for a shift. I start tomorrow. You could too!

Cannot communicate what a nightmare we have found domestic travel to be this week. Four separate flights between husband and I, shortest delay has been ~2 hours.
