A tariff is a tax paid by the American working class. Too many people decided to sleep during 8th grade government class.

Shop A sells shirt for $5. Tariffs add $3 to shirt. Shop A now needs to sell shirt for $8 to make profit. Customer pays $8. Shop A does not just eat the cost.
