Heard joke once: Man goes to doctor. Says “It hurts when I do this.” Doctor says “Treatment is simple. Don’t do this.” Man bursts into tears.

“But Doctor, I *am* do this.”

Good joke. Everybody laugh. Roll on snare drum. Curtains.

Did anyone check to see if he was zooming in from the alternate dimension in James Gunn’s DCU?

Holy shit. This is Angelo Elia, a legislative correspondent for Congressman Dave Taylor.

According to @rooster.info, during a Zoom meeting today, he had an American nazi flag displayed in the background.

Republicans: in order to guard the Jews in universities, we are going to eliminate free speech and defund them. You are welcome Jews!

Republican (group chat): We love Hitler! Gas Chambers were awesome!

Vance: Haha!

Me, as a Jew: I don't think pro-Hitler people are looking out for my interests.

I have not updated this in a long time so sorry if you should be on there and aren’t: your best recourse is to post good jokes in the replies here and see if I repost them

I hear there is an influx of new people who might need to know who the posters are:

like, you have to assume we are in a uniquely vulnerable position to foreign attacks right now, of all sorts

It seems like a bad plan to start doing these sorts of things generally, but also to announce that you plan to especially after you have fired most of the competent people in your own military, intelligence operations, and DOD, I think

JD Vance makes it clear that he thinks his kids are going to make a bunch of nazi jokes so he says he will warn them to be prepared for the eventual politco expose about it
atrupar.com
JD Vance dismisses Young Republicans who in a group chat said "I love Hitler" and joked about slavery and rape as "a bunch of kids" who "told stupid jokes" and adds that "most of the stupid things I did when I was a teenager and young adult, they're not on the internet."

Old enough to remember when kids being anti-semitic was the basis for a federal government assault on higher education

When college kids publicly say "Israel's war on Gaza is bad" that is full-blown anti-Semitism that requires the federal government to crack down on all colleges.

When Young Republicans in their 20s and 30s privately praise Hitler and "joke" about the Holocaust, well, that's just freedom baby.

The person who said this to me has a new book coming out and their publisher is pushing so hard to get them on the podcast. Love the combo of "I don't respect YOU, but I do respect your capacity to promote ME."

I thought this recent review by Business Insider was actually really good!
All features worked as intended. The author just isn't ready for the core premise yet. I think our definition of friendship will grow. Minimal viable companionship is a humanitarian mission to me.

[the business insider review is a very negative review] To do the math for you: 464 units activated in July, less than 1000 by October. Those are not good numbers!

Friend.com Investor Update
Hello everyone, we shipped! This is our first investor update, letting you know how things have gone post-ship & our plans for the future.
Since July 30th, 464 friends have been "activated", meaning a user has sent at least 1 message to their friend. The median user sends 238 messages to their friend a day, and so far d30 retention is 25.3%. While the scale is small, we've validated that there is a clear market for friend, and think this d30 number is a very good start.
Over 125,000 messages have been sent to a friend, and more than half of users have sent at least 100 messages to their friends. Users that are retentive tend to wear their friend every day.
The website is the product now!

friend has pivoted to a chat first website.
the pendant is now an "upgrade" available on a secondary page that used to be their home page.
this is great change imo, getting the core of the product to more users, with the hardware being a secondary purchase.

For some reason when I started reading this skeet I thought it was going to be about how there should be a dating show based on Sense & Sensibility

I don’t recommend this (it seems like a bad plan tbh), but I am surprised there aren’t more *branded* dating shows based on the mega popular books? Like why isn’t there a “5 love languages” dating show? A “The rules” dating show? “He’s just not that into you” dating show, etc.
