That's the thing, you started by talking about democracy but ended by talking about capitalism
That's on you bud. Being involved in your community requires effort and research. Grassroots aren't going to put ads on YouTube. Find a cause you care most about, look for people echoing those points, ask questions.
In our city, the grassroots organized the protest, we intentionally kept the Dem-backed factions on the sidelines and the politicians off of the stage so our message would be clear. We did it the same way in June and it was very successful
- Recruitment and platforming for grassroots organizations making a difference in their communities
- Increasing solidarity and raising awareness amongst multiple causes and struggles
- Community engagement in a forum that isn't online and owned by billionaires

SNAP benefits are going to be paused on November 1. If you are able, now is a good time to give to food banks, food pantries, or local mutual aid groups.

Israel bombed Gaza 100 times last night & has, once again, blocked essential aid. They want total death.

Trump's "plan" was always going to lead to this & it's an irrevocable stain on our "leaders" that they rushed to praise it. Only a full embargo on the zionist state will end the genocide.

"You college students are hypocrites because you won't provide the billions of dollars needed to rebuild Gaza after the genocide we did" is a hell of a thing to put in writing but okay

I recognize that a lot of people who complain like this are also doing the real work, and I recognize that it can be frustrating to watch people engage in what we view as wasted effort, but what's going to convince people to do things your way is seeing your way work.
I'm still thinking he'll be on Fox. Truth hardly matters to their viewership, nobody's going to look for the original source if they watch Fox or Newsmax
Cool now ask Fenway Health to stop throwing trans people under the bus!
So that was a lie. Fenway health in Boston just eliminated access for trans youth.

Dallas is their Executive Vice President of Donor Engagement and External Relations.
Massachusetts is standing strong. While many states across the country have restricted or even banned access to healthcare, Massachusetts has not backed down.

The @nytimes.com editors probably feel they broke that Santos story, and they don't have any ownership of the #NoKings events

So their blinkered attitude is that "their" story must be more important
I looked at 38 papers. The NYT was one of only a few not to have it as the top story and photo

The handful of exceptions were pretty much all places with a big D1 football game

I genuinely don't understand why the NYT is so reticent to give coverage to one of the largest protests in history

Thank you! Was about to say don't take it out on the environment
I take solace in the fact that there are libs who are getting it because they've been exposed to leftist organizing IRL. Our local protest was organized by several grassroots orgs so our points were made very clear without politicians watering them down. We had people chanting "up with intifada" lol
Oh it's absolutely still true for protests, I'm just clarifying that it's not the chemical compound of tear gas (CS) that's banned, but the deployment of it in war in vapor form
Some Sinclair station probably, "while there were cases of peaceful protestors in some locations, we're also seeing a lot of violence. Here is some footage from LA..."
Mutual Aid? Don't you mean welfare? I'm already giving you my tax dollars 🧐

- These people, probably. Fuck them

A bicyclist riding in the intersection tried to join the group on the outside of the police line after it moved and was shoved off his bike by two officers and wrecked into the pavement. He’s bleeding from the head
That's a factoid that gets passed around. Tear gas is only a violation of the Geneva Convention because any gas/chemical weapon could contain anything. Since you can't tell if it has a neurotoxin or something it could lead to a deadly retaliation and escalation in war.
If I were a reporter: "it's a 19 second video sir, let's watch it together right now"
